Sentinel provides this Privacy Notice to help you make an informed decision about whether to use or continue using the Sentinel Services. This Privacy Notice is incorporated into and is subject to the Sentinel Terms of Service. Your use of the Sentinel Services and any personal information you provide on the Sentinel Services remains subject to the terms of this Privacy Notice and the Terms of Service.
IMPORTANT DISCLOSURES AND CONSENTS
Some of the Sentinel Services require the use of SMS text messages. Standard data and messaging charges, fees, and taxes from your wireless operator apply.
To provide the Sentinel Services, we collect, maintain, use, and display your personal data and the geographic location of your mobile devices (we refer to this as “location information” or “geo-location”).
In order to subscribe to the Sentinel Services, you must consent to:
(a) the use of your devices’ location to provide the Sentinel Services to you, including the display and disclosure of your location information;
(b) receive SMS messages; and
(c) pay any operator data, messaging, and other fees resulting from your use of the Sentinel Services.
There are automatic procedures in place to verify your compliance with our Terms of Service, particularly regarding the “USAGE RULES; PROHIBITED CONDUCT AND USES” section. Accounts that violate the Terms of Service may have their functionality limited. In order to subscribe to the Sentinel Services, you must consent to this automated decision-making process.
THE INFORMATION SENTINEL COLLECTS
REGISTRATION INFORMATION: When you register for Sentinel Services, you provide certain personally identifiable information such as your device ID, username, and email address.
LOCATION INFORMATION: To provide the Sentinel Services, we obtain your location information either from your wireless operator, from certain third-party service providers, or directly from your mobile device when you register with Sentinel Services. OTHER DEVICE INFORMATION: In order to offer the Sentinel Services, we may receive additional information from your device (for example, audio recordings, call logs, etc.). This data is collected only when you explicitly request it, and it is retained only for as long as necessary to provide the requested service.
COOKIES AND PERSISTENT FILE INFORMATION: When you use Sentinel Services via our website, we may send one or more cookies (small text files containing a string of alphanumeric characters) to your computer. We use both session cookies, which disappear after you close your browser, and persistent cookies, which remain even after your browser is closed and may be used on subsequent visits to the Sentinel website. Persistent cookies can be removed by following your web browser’s instructions on managing cookies.

This log data may include your mobile device identification number, web requests, IP address, browser type, browser language, referring and exit pages and URLs, platform type, number of clicks, domain names, landing pages, pages viewed and the sequence of pages, features used in the Sentinel mobile application, the duration of your visits on particular web pages, the dates and times of your requests, and one or more cookies that may uniquely identify your browser.
THE WAY SENTINEL USES INFORMATION
Sentinel uses your personally identifiable, registration, and location information to operate, maintain, and provide to you and other Users all of the features and functionality of the Sentinel Service.
Sentinel uses your personally identifiable, location, and certain non-personally-identifiable information (such as anonymous log file information) to track and analyze User preferences and trends in order to improve the quality and design of the Sentinel Services and to create new features, promotions, functionality, and services.
Sentinel uses cookies and log file information to:
(a) remember information so that you will not have to re-enter it during your visit or the next time you visit the Sentinel Services;
(b) provide custom and personalized content, advertisements, and information;
(c) monitor the effectiveness of our marketing campaigns; and
(d) monitor aggregate usage metrics.
Sentinel uses your email address from time-to-time for non-marketing or administrative purposes, such as sending privacy or security related notices, notifying you of major Sentinel Services changes, or for other customer service purposes.
Sentinel does not use your personally identifiable information or location information to send commercial or marketing SMS text messages or email messages to you without your express consent or unless you have opted in to be part of a specific program or feature in accordance with the applicable Sentinel Services consent procedures.
WHEN SENTINEL DISCLOSES INFORMATION
Sentinel may release personally identifiable, registration, profile, or location information if required to do so by law.
Sentinel also reserves the right to disclose personally identifiable, registration, profile, or location information that it believes, in good faith, is appropriate or necessary to: enforce our Terms of Service; take precautions against liability; protect Users from fraudulent, abusive, or unlawful uses; investigate and defend against any third-party claims or allegations; protect the security or integrity of the Sentinel Services; or protect the rights, property, or personal safety of Sentinel, Users, or others.
Sentinel does not share your personally identifiable information or personally identifiable location information with other third-party companies for their commercial or marketing use without your express consent or unless you have opted in to be part of a specific program or feature in accordance with the applicable Sentinel Services consent procedures.
Sentinel does not share aggregate usage information or anonymous log files with third-party companies.
YOUR CHOICES
You may access, update, correct, or delete your profile information at any time. To protect your privacy and security, we take reasonable steps to verify your identity before granting you access to your profile or making any corrections. You are responsible for maintaining the secrecy of your unique password and account information at all times.
OUR COMMITMENT TO DATA SECURITY
Sentinel uses commercially reasonable physical, managerial, and technical safeguards to protect your information. However, we cannot ensure or warrant the security of any information that we receive on your behalf to operate the Sentinel Services, nor can we guarantee that such information will not be accessed, disclosed, altered, or destroyed due to breaches of any of our safeguards. You acknowledge that you provide your information at your own risk. In the event of a security breach, Sentinel may attempt to notify you electronically so that you can take appropriate protective steps, and may also post a notice on the Sentinel Services. Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have a legal right to receive written notice of a security breach.
IN THE EVENT OF MERGER, SALE, OR BANKRUPTCY
In the event that Sentinel is acquired by or merged with a third-party entity, we reserve the right, under such circumstances, to transfer or assign the information we have collected from our Users as part of such merger, acquisition, sale, or other change of control so that the Sentinel Services can continue operations. In the unlikely event of our bankruptcy, insolvency, reorganization, receivership, or assignment for the benefit of creditors—or the application of laws or equitable principles affecting creditors’ rights—we will take all reasonable measures to protect the manner in which your personal information is treated, transferred, or used. You will be notified via the Sentinel Services of any such change in ownership or control of your personally identifiable information.
CHANGES AND UPDATES TO THIS PRIVACY POLICY
